Low-carb, no-fuss, no gluten-free: A healthy diet that can satisfy everyone.
(The title of this article is the title of an article.)
I’m a dietitian.
So am my wife, who also works in the food industry.
We’re both on the team that produces and hosts Food Network’s “Food Challenge,” and we’re both eating out a lot more often now than we were before the recent recession.
But it’s the food that we eat that is really making our lives better, and that’s what this blog is about.
In our opinion, low-carb is a diet that will give you the health benefits of a healthy diet, and it’s also one that can actually be very nutritious.
That’s why I’ve been spending so much time writing about it, and I want to share that with you.
I’m not saying that you should start a ketogenic diet.
That won’t be a great idea.
You should try it.
But you don’t have to go to a high-carb diet.
Instead, you should choose to have fewer calories, lower your intake of sugar and fats, and cut out refined carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, rice, and breadsticks.
The more you consume, the less you’ll be tempted to eat junk foods.
The good news is that there are many low- and moderate-carb recipes that will satisfy you without any of the excess calories or carbs.
